Board Whisperers is uniquely suited to make your next Board or Staff retreat one to remember. Using a combination of improvisation, engaging group work and skill building, we can prepare your group for more intensive work creating a high functioning team. We'll work with you to develop specific outcomes for your retreat that will guide our work together and create a space that makes it safe for everyone to participate and feel heard.
"Board Whisperers has a lot of collective experience as board members and non-profit leaders. They shed a lot of light onto how a good board can and should function. Their advice and perspective are invaluable, especially as they customize it to the situation at hand. They were able to point our organization in a better and more-productive direction after just a few meetings!"
"The goal of our board retreat was to develop a rapport and comfortable relationships between our members so that when the work of the board began we would have an honest, open team approach to our work. Through just the right amount of humor and warm guidance Board Whisperers not only met this goal but exceeded our expectations. Their program provided the perfect balance of personal sharing and group building that fostered new insights towards each other and a sense that we were ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work. I highly recommend Board Whisperers."
"I now better understand how a board can and should support the executive director."
The coaching she received was impactful and from someone who knew about it - greatly appreciated! A real difference between the first mock forum (pre-you guys) and the real thing. Thank you!
Just wanted to say thank you for today (Nonprofit Roundtable). I felt very welcome and much enjoyed the authenticity in the room. I got a lot from listening to everyone and felt very inspired to move into thoughts of putting together a dynamic board... and I have started the book I borrowed. So, we are all in and will be regulars!
"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for running such a great meeting Thursday night. I believe we will find that it was productive in more ways than we can imagine. We gained both increased clarity of our next steps and took home a sense of a more shared support. Thank you, thank you!"
